In Konkan region, in almost every village- the Ghadi-Gurav community in honored to work as priest of the village deities. Accordingly, in our Babarde village this group of around 30 families of Ghadi community have established and worshiping shrine of Fondkeen Devi.
Their Shri Ram Seva Mandal is very actively in cultural events, weekly Bhajans & Drama program. Shri Ram Navami festival started by Vitthal Ghadi is a regular annual event celebrated every year.
